Quick Update

Hey everyone!

I just wanted to give you all a quick update on what is going on with me. I have been feeling pretty good, just tired which is the usual for me. I have had a lot of appointments in the past few weeks to meet with all of my doctors for follow ups and all. I went to see my family doctor about a month ago because I had a cough that was not going away. She sent me to have an x-ray and they found a few small spots on my right lung that concerned her a bit. Anyway, I ended up having a CT scan and a PET scan and they also found a swollen lymph node under my left arm. They decided to try to do a needle biopsy to see if they could figure out what was going on with the lymph node. The biopsy did not show enough to tell what exactly is going on but they did find some suspicious cells. I went to the oncologist today and found out what else is going to happen now. I will be having a couple procedures on Friday, January 9th. They are going to first check for any infection in my lungs. Then they will be completely removing the lymph node under my arm. Depending on what that shows I may need to having another biopsy on the spots on my right lung. Although it has been rough, I am completely relying on God and I have faith that He is going to take care of everything. Thank you all for the continued prayer and support! Ok I found this walk in Indianapolis for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and it is called light the night. It is on October 11th. I could tell you all about it but I am not very good at explaining. Hey everyone!

I just wanted to let you all know that I had a biopsy last Tuesday and everything went well. I also met with the radiologist last week. I went back to the doctor yesterday and found out that I am not going to have to have any more chemo! I am so glad that part of the process is over! I went to have my mold made for me to start radiation. I should hear from the doctor with a week or less to find out when I actually start radiation. I am going to have 24 treatments which will be about 5 weeks. It will be monday through friday every week for those 5 weeks. It will only take about 30 seconds for the actually treatment but I will be there for about 20-30 minutes. I will see the doctor once a week after treatment. I should not have any side effects at all because the treatment will be very centralized in my chest. I was telling my mom and Alli that I think this biopsy was God's way of reminding me that He is the one that got me through all of this. Thanks again for you prayers and support throughout this whole process. I will let you all know when I actually start radiation.

So I went to treatment last monday (the 4th), and the news wasn't as good as I was hoping. The cancer is no longer active and the tumor is still shrinking, but not as much as the doctor was hoping. I'm not completely sure how big the tumor still is, but the doctor said that he doesn't want to start me on radiation if he doesn't shrink more. I am supposed to go in for my last treatment this coming monday (the 18). When I go, the doctor will tell me whether I need more chemo treatments or not. I could possibly have to go in for up to 4 more treatments. The news obviously wasn't what I was wanting to hear, but I know that God is taking care of everything. No matter what happens, He is in control. It may not be what I want, but God has big plans for me. Please just continue tp keep me in your prayers. Thanks so much! I'll let you all know when I find out what is going to happen. God bless!

Treatment #10

Yesterday, I had my 10 treatment. Thats right, only 2 more left. Everything is going great and I am definitely ready to be done. I also had a PET scan today to see how much more the cancer has shrunk. I will not find out the results until I go back to the doctor for my next treatment on August 4th. I will write on here after that and let everyone know the results. I am feeling pretty good and I haven't been down too much after my treatments. Thanks for continuing to pray for me and I will try to keep this more up to date. God Bless!

Hey everyone~

Ok so I had my 5th treatment yesterday and I am feeling great. I wanted to let you all know that your prayers have been working. Last week I went in for a CT scan and when I got my results back it said that the tumor that was in my diaphram is completly gone and the mass in my chest showed marked reduction. SO that was very good news. Again thank you for all your prayers and God Bless!!

Hey Everyone~

Ok so by now I am pretty sure you have figured out that I am not real good at this. I thought it was a good idea but I am not good about writing. Anyway I want to thank you all that kept bugging my mom so I would finally write something. And I want to thank you all for your prayers and support as always. It has really helped me keep a positive attitude. Well I did my 3rd round of chemo this week and am actually feeling pretty good. I feel tired all the ime and it is hard to keep my energy level up but I am not really feeling sick so that is a great thing. Again thank you for all your prayers and God Bless!!!

Hey everyone~

Ok so if you have been wondering why I haven't been updating its because the Lord just took over my life and I have felt so great and I have just been wonderful so I haven't really had anything to write. Well yesterday (24th) I went in to get my second round of Chemo and I could not do it because my white blood cell count was to low. So we are going back next Mon. (31st) to do it again. Thank you for all your prayers and I know they are working and God is doing amazing things. Hey everyone~

I was just thinking how funny it was that I said I would update as often as possible yet I didn't. I know so many people are thinking of me and praying for me and its so crazy how many phone calls I get from people who love me soo much. I am just new to the whole blogging thing. I promise I will get better at letting you know how I am especially the longer I am on here. Anyway well I did have my chemo on tuesday (11th) and as of right now I am still doing ok. The doctors just say it may take awhile to see how my body reacts to the chemo but as of right now I am doing great. And I know it is because so many people are thinking of me and praying for me so I just want to thank you all again and let you know how much it means to me. I love you all and God is going to do amazing things through all of this. Again thank you and God Bless!!

Hi Everyone~

So we decided that with everybody who cares so much about me that we would create a blog and that would be easier than calling everybody everyday. First I just want to say that I appreciate all of your prayers. It is so comforting to know that so many people care about me and love me so much. Thank you so much for all of your support. Well today we found out exactly what I have it is called Hodgkin lymphoma disease. It is very treatable and curable, so that is exciting. I am starting chemotherapy tomorrow (Tuesday March 11). And I will be doing that every 2 weeks for about 6 months. Well that is where we are at right now, again thank you for all your prayers. I love you all and if you have any questions we will be on here daily (hopefully).
